Perfect getaway

The owners have taken great care of this property. It is very clean (spotless), and still smells new inside. The appliances were perfect, and it was easy to cook meals, including using a charcoal grill outside. The kitchen is well stocked with condiments, utensils, and cooking utensils. The bathrooms were clean and the towels were thick and absorbent. The beds were very comfortable, and the bedding was new and attractive. The cabin is appointed very tastefully, and is quite spacious. Our deposit was returned promptly after our stay (3 days).

A wonderful gem near Yellowstone!

Silver Willows (Sarva) is a high quality cabin set in the woods near the incredible beauty of Yellowstone, Chief Joseph Scenic Highway and the Beartooth Pass.

You can do as little or as much as you wish from this location and know that your time at “home” will be as near luxurious as you can get here. The view of the Soda Butte Creek is delightful and you’re within walking distance of ice cream at the Stop the Car Trading Post. Cooke City offers even more delightful options just 3 miles down the road.

We were uber-comfortable in the queen beds, living room, and a well-stocked kitchen for cooking and grilling. The Waughs have thought of all needs and exceeded expectations.  This is a “don’t miss” place to stay in the beautiful west!

Glad to be back at Silver Willows

This is our second stay at the cabin, having discovered it two years ago. It is very clean and spacious, well stocked and maintained. The front porch is very relaxing after long days in the park, with views of mountains and Soda Butte Creek. Max and Jenn are great hosts, very organized, and make your stay worry free. They even call the evening of your arrival to make sure you made it in and to answer any questions you may have.

Can’t imagine a trip to Yellowstone without a stay at Silver Willows. We speak highly of the cabin to all our friends and family, and we will definitely be back our next trip out!

Amazing cabin!

We stayed at the cabin for my in-laws 30th wedding anniversary and the cabin exceeded our expectations and more! The location is perfect and has a beautiful view of the Soda Butte Creek and is quite spacious. We were greeted by buffalo each day and even got the pleasure of seeing a moose and her baby calf!

The cabin was very clean and accommodated all of our needs. Thank you for a wonderful cabin during our stay – we will definitely stay there again next time we are in Yellowstone!!

Serenity at Silver Willows

Before arriving at Silver Willows, we spent the whole day in Yellowstone, working our way from the East Entrance to the Northeast entrance. We would be arriving after 8:00 pm and in the dark. What a pleasant surprise to find that the driveway was well marked and as we drove toward the cabin, we could see that it was well lit from within and outside. When we opened the door, we found the gas fireplace lit and already warm. Lights were on and it was perfect. Ahhh.

27  Excellent communication Max, thank you! The cabin is everything we had hoped for and more.  Can’t wait to return!

Great winter escape

Silver Gate, located just outside the NE entrance to Yellowstone, is a magical place in winter. The Silver Willows cabin is a perfect base for visiting the area. The cabin is close to the main plowed highway to Cooke City and this allows easy access into the park or to the snowmobile trails beyond Cooke City. You can ski right out of the cabin onto the Bannock trails and groomed ski trails in the park are just a short drive away.

Visiting the Lamar Valley in winter is a must for anyone interested in viewing or taking photos of wildlife. We saw wolves every day and skied past hundreds of bison and elk. Moose, fox and bison visited the cabin while we were there.

The cabin itself looks brand new and is very cozy. Everything is provided for a comfortable stay. The decor is enhanced by numerous wildlife photos that decorate the walls and help create a luxury rustic ambiance.

Third visit – expectations always exceeded!

Max and Jenn continue to be the perfect hosts with a very clean, well-stocked, and comfortable cabin. We also appreciate their checking in with us to make sure everything is going well during our stay. They are the best owners EVER. You won’t go wrong.

The cabin is first-rate, and so is its location. You are remote, and surrounded by beautiful views yet able to get into Cooke City for gas, a casual meal, or hand warmers during a winter trip! The wildlife continues to be spectacular in winter with fox, moose, bison, big horns, elk, eagles and of course, wolves seen during our trip. And, there are opportunities for snowshoeing and cross country skiing right from the house onto the Bannock Trail.

We appreciate the opportunity to stay at this great property and you will too. Thanks to Jenn and Max!

A home away from home

We have a family of four with two boys (8, 10). The boys enjoyed time in the creek, building dams and throwing rocks. As a family we enjoyed grilling out and eating dinner together away from everyone else.

It’s quiet and tucked away. It was nice to be shut off from the corporate world and cell phones. We did a lot of hiking in Yellowstone and a lot of driving. The drive through Lamar Valley allowed us to see different wildlife. We would most definitely stay again!

Quiet and private, with wildlife and fishing at the cabin

Our family of 5 stayed at the cabin and had a wonderful trip. Although there are other cabins in the area, this cabin is private and quiet. The front porch has views of the woods, creek and surrounding mountains.

The wildlife was wonderful. There were mule deer with fawns outside the cabin most every morning. A bison walked up the trail from the creek on our first evening there. One morning a cow moose with a calf walked by the down by the creek while we were having breakfast!

We have rented cabins in other parts of the country before and been disappointed by the messy conditions. Silver Willows clean and well stocked and did not disappoint. The view from the dining room table was our favorite, dramatic mountain peaks with a trout stream in the foreground. My son and I fly fish and we had no trouble catching plenty of cutthroat trout in Soda Butte Creek, right outside the cabin. We highly recommend this property.

Great snowmobiling getaway

This is the second year in a row our group of five has stayed at Silver Willows Cabin. This is a great place for us to snowmobile in and out of every day. The Bannock Trail is right outside the cabin which is only a short ride into Cooke City.

The cabin is very well kept and has everything you would need for your stay. We like that everything is very new and ready for us when we get there. We will be staying here again in the future.
