Visitors to Silver Willows can arrive from the west or east of Silver Gate, but please note certain restrictions involved, especially in winter.

From the West, visitors must arrive via Yellowstone National Park. Park entrance fees are required. The route via Gardiner and Yellowstone’s northern road is the only access point open year-round.

Getting to the cabins from the east (Billings/Red Lodge) relies on the status of the Beartooth Highway (212), which is usually closed from October through April (and often into May) due to snow.

Please check road conditions when planning your visit. Similar restrictions may affect visitors coming by way of Cody and the Chief Joseph Scenic Byway.
